Tomb of General Yuan Explore Fairy Tales

Tomb of General Yuan.Situated in Chongwen district, Beijing, the tomb of General Yuan is believed to be
Tomb of General Yuan
haunted by his spirit at night. As a loyal supporter of the Ming Dynasty, the general tried everything in his power to protect the land of the imperial family. However, malicious lies were spread in the emperor’s ear, which cast doubt on his good intentions and finally led to his painful death from 1,000 cuts. Rumor has it that he vowed that his soul would always guard Liaodong Peninsula, before his execution. The people of Beijing were so angry about his supposed disloyalty that they ate his remains, leaving only his head, which was saved by one of his faithful soldiers and buried at Guanchu Men, where his family has held guard ever since. Some claim that his ghost wanders around this area at night to seek revenge or guard the land.

4 Days Beijing Private Tour Honest Reviews

Could not express my feeling about the last tour that I had in Beijing, so nice and memorable! We got this 4 days Beijing private tour since I did come to Beijing together with my family, so private tour I thought would be better than the group tour. We got much more time in each historical site in Beijing to explore more, and more than that, we got a private vacation and that was great! Worth for the money that I spend!
From the first time, the service let us feel glad and satisfied. The tour guide was very proud about her job and explained each historical site very well. Not only that, from the beginning, driver was on time picked us up at the airport as well as on time picked up us every day in front of our hotel before visited the destinations.

Forbidden City in Summer

In the second day, we did visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Hutong, three famous historical sites in Beijing. We did know the history about China in the old times (dynasty era) as well as enjoy the traditional old courtyard in Hutong Beijing and see traditional local residences, some old buildings of old Beijing.

Hutong Rickshaw Tour

Hutong Rickshaw Tour

When we were in Hutong, we did take the rickshaw ride, an interesting and fun ride to explore the whole area of old Beijing. The atmosphere was very nice and authentic. My family and I, we did take some pictures together there and we are very happy about that. The other sites on that day, include Forbidden City was very impressive. It offers a rich historical environment and had showed us amazing royal palace of Ming and Qing Dynasty era of China. The palace is so huge and has unique ancient architecture. Inside some main buildings, there still have some ancient historical heritage on it. During the tour, tour guide also explained to us a lot about history and culture of China that she knew. Every time we had stop in each important place, she was also told us about the story behind it. She is a very friendly person, very informative as well as professional for organized the whole tour.

Overall, this 4 days Beijing trip was a highlight! We did visit a lot of famous tourist destinations and we got new experience and understandings about China. Everything was well organized and met our expectation.

A Fun Trip Explore Beijing

A nice trip that I had in Beijing on my last vacation! First we arrived at Beijing Capital Airport, tour guide were waiting for me at the exit gate. After that, she transferred us to the hotel and let us to have a rest. The day after that, we began explore the city. It started with a short visit to Ming Tombs and Badaling Great Wall. On that day, the weather was nice. It was a cloudy day without sun shining bright, I love the atmosphere.
Oh and because it is a group tour then we did visit many attractions around Beijing with other family. They are very friendly and nice. We did not feel uncomfortable at all. At first, tour guide also introduced herself to all of us. My first impression of her continued to the last, she is a kind, helpful and informative. She always took care of us, all of us, during the trip. The tour guide organized all the itinerary and time very well.

Long Corridor in Summer Palace

Within those 5 days tour, the most impressive place I thought it was Summer Palace. We had visited Beijing on summer, and explore the royal garden is just right choice. Inside, I felt some different feeling from when I did visit other historical sites in Beijing. The garden landscapes were fascinating. We did visit amount cultural relics around the garden as well as enjoy the lake scenery which located in the center of the garden. When I was in Summer Palace, the weather seems cooler than the outside, might be because the wind that blows from the lake. We did also see a lot of visitors boating through the lake, with their couple or even family.

Historical Building in Summer Palace

Because Summer Palace is one of the major attractions in Beijing and we accidentally visit it on the weekend, so we should head countless visitors who also come to Summer Palace. Full with crowded, we surviving keep enjoy our trip. It becomes better because our guide did a great job of navigating through the crowds of people and finding quiet spots (in the shade) for everyone to stand and listen throughout the tour. Very helping the whole tour members out of the crowded.
Overall, the trip has given me a lot of information about China history, culture, art and life style. The tour agency did a great job with arranging and accommodating the tour.
